Iain Grunwell has another great event planned for Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at the Newport CC.

We need your reservations BY MONDAY AUGUST 30TH for both dinner choice as well as if you will be playing golf and your foursomes. If you do not have a foursome we will be happy to line you up in a group.

Registration: NOON
1:00 PM shotgun start

Cocktails: 5:30 PM
Dinner: 7:00 PM

Be there for your chance to win one of FOUR (yes, 4) ½ season passes, the ½ and ½ draw or one of the many door prizes. (If you have a door prize to donate, please bring it with you to the tournament.)

Online Membership Signup

The new online membership signup system is now ready for use. It greatly simplifies signing up a whole family and reflects the new membership structure.

Renew your membership for 2010 - 2011 !

There are several new ways to renew your membership in Intershack. As most of you know, we have developed a lot of new online capabilities in the last year in order to improve our services to the membership. Here's how to join or renew :

►	Join or Renew Online	Visit our web site, click on the Join Intershack button on the left at the bottom, and follow the simple sign - up process. At the end, you will be asked to mail a cheque to Anne Burdick.
►	Contact your House Rep	Most of the house reps can login to our intranet and update your membership records. Simply contact your house rep and advise them of any changes to your records for this year's directory. Then, mail your cheque to Louise Phaneuf in Montreal: 365 Elmridge Ave. Dorval, QC H9S 2Z6 or to Anne Burdick in Vermont: 654 Highland Ave. North Troy, Vermont 05859.
►	Renew by E-mail	Send Anne Burdick an e-mail with any changes to your membership records from last year. Then, mail your cheque to Louise or Anne at either of the addresses listed above.
►	Renew at President's Cocktail	You can complete a new membership form by downloading it here or by using the form provided in the latest Shackflack. Bring it to the President's Cocktail Party with your cheque.
►	Join or Renew By Mail	Complete a new membership form by downloading it here. Mail it with your cheque to Louise at either of the addresses listed above.

Directories Available

This year's directories are available and have been distributed to many house reps. If you have not received your copy, please contact Michael McTeigue by e-mail.

New ! Membership Cards

Louise Phaneuf, President, announced a new membership card program at the President's cocktail on Sat. Nov 18, 2006. Each member family will receive an e-mail confirming their membership for the 2010-2011 season. Attached to this is e-mail is a PDF document that contains all of your family's membership cards. Just open this black only document in Adobe Acrobat Reader, print it out, and cut out your cards. If you lose your card(s), simply reprint them.

We have a number of discount programs with various merchants (see our new discounts page) and they were complaining that there was no way to tell who was a member in good standing for the current year. The new membership cards will solve this problem which was also irritating for the members because they couldn't easily prove their membership status.

With this change, YOU WILL NEED YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD to obtain the Intershack discounts from our participating merchants.

If you do not have an e-mail address, call Louise at 802.988.2875 and we will mail you your cards.

Our members recoup their dues very quickly !

We have three major initiatives that save our members a ton of money and allow them to recoup the minimal cost of their membership even if they can only avail themselves of one of these deals.

►	Blue Flame	Our members benefit from the very lowest possible prices when they buy their propane from Blue Flame in Newport !! Nobody does any better.
►	Jay Peak	Greatly reduced season pass rates and a 15 % discount at the rental and ski shops !
►	Duty Free	Save 10 % on all purchases except alcohol at the Highwater Duty Free shop! This plan usually starts Dec 1, 2010 and lasts until May 1, 2011.
