INTERSHACK's 40th Anniversary Weekend - June 19-20-21, 2009

Former Shackers and Current Members - Come One Come All - and join us for a fun-filled reunion weekend. Rekindle old friendships, and relive good times gone by in well-remembered surroundings.

How to reserve:

To reserve, you need to download the Reservation Form (PDF format) , complete it, and mail it along with your cheque (in U.S. dollars) to Jay Peak, who is handling all the reservations for us (all the information you need is on the reservation form). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader, click Here.

Remember to mail it so that it will arrive at Jay Peak by May 30 to qualify for the EARLY BIRD discount!

Accomodations:

On-Mountain: Jay Peak has provided us with reduced prices for on-the-mountain accommodations in either the Hotel Jay, or in a Slopeside Condo. These are detailed on the above Reservation Form. Rates are per person, for 2 nights, double occupancy. If you have children, or are more than 2 persons, call Jay Peak Reservations at 1-800-451-4449 for additional pricing and reservation information.

Off Mountain: If you prefer to stay off-mountain, there are a number of bed and breakfasts, inns and lodges in the surrounding area (Montgomery, Jay village) that offer a wide variety of prices and packages. Go to Jay Peak Vermont for more information. These locations are not part of the Reservation Form, and you will need to contact them separately.

Friday June 19:

Sign-in: 08:00 - 4:00 PM: When you arrive at Jay Peak, sign in at Customer Service to pick up the full event program, your name tag (which gets you free access to the tram, pool, etc.), and your goodie bag !

Pre-tournament Golf Practice Round: For those arriving early who would like to get in a practice round on Jay's championship course, you can experience it's challenge for only $59 U.S. (including cart) or $42 U.S. (including cart) after 3:00 PM. Just call the pro shop and tell them that you are part of the 40th Anniversary Intershack weekend.

Opening Cocktail Party: 4:00 - 8:00 PM:: Start with a tram ride up to the Sky Haus for a cocktail party like you have never experienced with 360 degree views of Vermont and Quebec !

Post-Party Party: 8:00 PM - 12:00 AM:: The tram has to close due to darkness, but the opening party certainly doesn't. Join us as we continue on in the Hotel Jay bar !

Saturday June 20:

Sign-in: 08:00 - 4:00 PM:: Customer Service is open for sign-in if you missed on Friday.

Intershack Anniversary golf tournament:: Who will be the 40th Anniversary champion? A former or current Shacker? Who can still hit it the longest or get it closest to the pin? In early June, once everyone has registered, we will be getting back to you on foursomes and starting times.

Tennis tournament:: For the non-golfers but avid tennis players, we will be having the 40th Anniversary tennis tournament running in parallel (sorry, you have to choose one or the other!). In early June, once everyone has registered, we will be getting back to you with more details on this tournament.

Other activities - all day: Relax by the pool, take the tram to the top and enjoy the views, hike or mountain bike - it's all included in the weekend package, and available to you, at your pace, for the day.

Pool Races - Kids - 1:00 - 3:00 PM:: Pool races for the kids. Sign them up when you sign in.

40th Anniversary Banquet 6:30 - 1:00AM:: Enjoy pre-dinner cocktails by the tent by the pool ...toast with us to reaching the 40th... feast on the banquet buffet...celebrate the golf/tennis/swim winners...see if you are a winner of one of the many door prizes or one of the 4 free weekend packages... cheer to the 40th fireworks ...and then dance the night away to the wee hours.

Trophies/Awards/Prizes: : Join us at the banquet for presentation of awards to the golf, tennis and kid's swim race winners.

Sunday June 21:

On your own, however for those who want another kick at the Jay golf course...

Post-tournament Revenge Round:: So, you would like to get another chance to tame Jay's championship course - you can go at it again for only $59 U.S. (including cart) or $42 U.S. (including cart) after 3:00 PM. Just call the pro shop and tell them that you are part of the 40th Anniversary Intershack weekend.

Additional Information:

Memorabilia contest:: So do you have some Jay/Intershack memorabilia from the last 40 years hidden away in a closet or drawer? Bring it and have a chance to win $50.00 U.S. if yours is judged to be the best !

Banners:: Still have an old house banner? We'd love to see them to help decorate the Banquet, so please bring them along....
